Everybody needs a little cash for the holidays, right?

Rusty Wallace, the 1989 NASCAR Cup champion, Hall of Famer and current broadcaster, has a house for sale in Linville, North Carolina, and he’s asking $1,599,000.

For sale is a 3,567-square-foot “mountain style” home at 1020 Ridge Drive. The price is far from the most expensive one listed in the resort town that sits next to Grandfather Mountain – we found one “estate” for over $7 million.

Wallace’s house, according to Realtor.com, is a mix of stone and dark woods. It’s a single-story with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The master bedroom is next to the master bathroom, which has a spa and a separate deck of its own. The house was built in 2006.

“I love that when I’m at Linville Ridge, I don’t have to worry about leaving for anything, because everything I need is right here for me,” Wallace told Realtor.com. “There are five restaurants, a spa that I visit every time I’m in town and a golf course that I love to play. I really have no reason to leave.”

So why is he? A growing family, Wallace said. With three grown children and multiple grandchildren, the home isn’t big enough for everybody.

You can take a look at it, as well as that $7 million estate, at Highcountryrealtors.org.
