The 2019 NASCAR Playoffs begin Sunday with the 2019 South Point 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway at 7 p.m. ET, the first of three races in the Round of 16 for the NASCAR Cup points championship. Racing under the lights in Sin City promises to be a wild affair, with every position and lap being contested by both the 16 drivers in the playoffs and the remainder of the field. Las Vegas native and 2015 Cup champion Kyle Busch is among the favorites, while defending South Point 400 champion Brad Keselowski and defending Cup champion Joey Logano will also be strong contenders Sunday night. They will be three of the popular options for NASCAR DFS lineups Sunday. However, before you make your NASCAR DFS picks, be sure to see the optimal NASCAR at Las Vegas DFS strategy and advice from DFS millionaire Mike McClure.
McClure is a predictive data engineer and a DFS pro with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s crushed his DFS selections in several sports recently, producing multiple tournament rosters that have cashed huge.
At Indianapolis last week, McClure was all over Kevin Harvick. The result: Harvick led 118 laps and captured the checkered flag for his second Brickyard 400 win and third victory of the season, and anybody who rostered him was well their way to a huge day. Now, he’s turned his attention to NASCAR at Las Vegas and locked in his optimal lineups.
For the South Point 400 at Las Vegas, we can tell you McClure is banking on Joey Logano at $12,500 on FanDuel and $10,300 on DraftKings. Logano almost topped Harvick on a late restart to win at Indianapolis before finishing second. The spring Las Vegas race winner, Logano also won at Michigan this year to enter the NASCAR Playoffs at No. 5 in the standings.Â
McClure’s optimal South Point 400 at Las Vegas DFS strategy also involves rostering Jimmie Johnson ($8,500 on FanDuel, $7,700 on DraftKings). Johnson was in contention throughout at Indianapolis before a late wreck put him out of the race. The result put Johnson out of the playoffs for the first time since it started in 2004 — and makes him perhaps the most dangerous driver not in the field of 16.Â
McClure is also targeting a value driver with a strong track record at Las Vegas. He’s in prime position to make a huge run at the checkered flag and comes at a price that won’t break the bank. This pick could be the difference between cashing huge in your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing.
