Austin Cindric made it 2-for-2 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on Saturday afternoon, flashing his road-course expertise at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to win for the second straight week.

Cindric’s Team Penske No. 22 Ford started from the pole position and regained the lead with 13 of the 75 laps remaining in the B&L Transport 170. The 20-year-old driver’s bold pass in the 2.258-mile road course’s keyhole section clinched his second career victory in the Xfinity Series, one week after notching his first at Watkins Glen.

Jack Hawksworth, a veteran in IndyCar and IMSA sports-car competition, qualified second and finished 15th in his NASCAR debut in Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 18 Toyota. He recovered from a first-stage run-in with Cole Custer in the carousel with minimal damage to lead five laps.

The Xfinity Series’ next event is the Food City 300, scheduled for Friday (7:30 p.m. ET, NBCSN/NBC Sports App, PRN, SiriusXM) at Bristol Motor Speedway.
