Marshawn Lynch doesn’t seem to miss the NFL much. Or maybe it’s the Raiders he doesn’t miss?

Either way, the former Oakland Tech, Cal and Raiders standout found himself at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway last Sunday. Not only that, Lynch was being interviewed by Dale Earnhardt Jr. shortly before drivers introductions at the South Point 400. And not only that, Lynch was to drive the pace car for the NASCAR event.

“I hear this is a bucket list item for you?” Earnhardt said.

“That’s the truth,” Lynch said.

“Nervous?” Earnhardt said.

“No,” Lynch said. “The only thing that’s wrong with it, I think, I only get to go 45 mph. I was expecting, they call it pedal to the metal and really drive this thing.”

“Maybe after the race is over with they’ll let you take a few laps. We’ll go around here as fast as you want.”

“I’m with that,” Lynch said, clearly excited. “They told me they can get up to 180 (mph). I did 180 before but I’m not going to say where, but I know what that feels like.”

[Editor’s aside: It probably wasn’t in an equipment cart.]
