NASCAR heads up north this weekend to Watkins Glen International for Go Bowling at The Glen. The 90-lap, 220-mile annual Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series stock car race has a packed field for this Sunday, Aug. 4, so let’s take a look at some drivers to consider when putting together your NASCAR fantasy team this week.
Like the rest of the people on this list, Denny Hamlin is a past winner of Go Bowling at The Glen, taking home the crown in 2016. In fact, Hamlin has averaged a sixth-place finish in his last three races at Watkins Glen International. Additionally, Hamlin has finished in the top-5 in four of his last six races overall.
Joey Logano is a past winner of this event as well, visiting victory lane in 2015. Logano has finished inside the top-10 in 10 of his last 14 races, and in his last eight trips to Watkins Glen, Logano has finished seventh or better in five of them.
Martin Truex Jr.
Martin Truex Jr. has been on fire, winning four of his last 12 races. In the last two seasons at this event, he has won (2017) and finished in second place (2018). Truex Jr. has historically dominated at this track, finishing in the top-10 in eight of his 13 career starts there.
